How does the Y-DR8+ filter help reduce impurities from tap water?
The Y-DR8+ filters help reduce and filter impurities through activated carbon and the science of adsorption. The activated carbon and ion exchange resins in the Y-DR8+ filters attract and adsorb particles in municipal water, so your drinking water tastes great and cleaner.*
The Y-DR8+ Filter features Flexzorb™, a proprietary 100% activated carbon cloth. Flexzorb™ was developed by Calgon Carbon Corporation, a global leader in the field of water treatment.
As with any point of use filter system, there is a limited amount of surface area within the filter for adsorbing particles, which is why your filter should be changed every two weeks or approximately 20 gallons. Usage based on hydrating with three Y-DR8+ bottles a day for 14 days.
